New Alaska Seafood Recipe Book for Kid’s Menus

Juneau, Alaska. May 2, 2011 – The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) has released a new recipe book titled “Go Fish! Little Bites for Little Tykes.” This new resource is free of charge to foodservice professionals, and can be ordered by calling 800.806.2497.

According to the new 2010 Dietary Guidelines, Americans should be eating more seafood, up to 12 oz. per week (less for small children) for good health. The new guidelines report “In addition to the health benefits for the general public, the nutritional value of seafood is of particular importance during fetal growth and development, as well as in early infancy and childhood.”

Go Fish! Little Bites for Little Tykes helps operators offer their younger customers naturally healthy and flavorful menu options with wild Alaska seafood. Recipes include Alaska Cod Parmigiano with whole wheat pasta and marinara sauce, and Alaska Crab Mac and Cheese.
